Alessandro Tedde was born in Ravenna June 19, 1983. Graduated in History and Criticism at the University of Padua in February 2006, he made his first short films in 1999.His first official short, Paths of Memory (1999), was screened at various Italian festivals. In 2004 he produced the Dadaist performance The Genius of Duchamp - 1924 to 2004. He also realizes documentaries and in 2011, with his brother Francesco, creates a project on 7 DVDs to tell Romagna, its poets and the past of the Italian region. In 2010 he founded, together with his brother Francesco, Black Box Film, and independent production company of self-produced material. The same year he started the production of Vertigo. The same year he worked as a writer and camera operator in the documentary on the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Veneto. Since 2012 he collaborates with the Committee Ravenna 2019 - Candidate City for European Capital of Culture, creating short films. Between 2012 and 2014 he realizes three video scenic design projects for "Pantani", "Llife under arrest of Aung Sun Suu Kyi" and “Lus” by Marco Martinelli & Ermanna Montanari for Teatro delle Albe/Ravenna Teatro, one of the most important theater companies in Italy and Europe. In summer 2013 he released his first novel, titled "The Legend of Lylyh - The Gift", for GDS Editions Milan. In November 2014 was published the second and final book "The Legend of Lylyh - The Good". In June 2014 he ended his first feature film: "Vertigo". In January 2014 he founded "La Palestra del Cinema", a permanent laboratory where he teaches directing and production, along with Cinema history, to create a workgroup able to develop shorts, movies and documentaries. In 2015 I realized a documentary about painter Roberto Pagnani. This documentary premiered in Budrio (Italy) in Novembre 2015 during an exposition by the painter, where Alessandro Tedde was guest artist. It has been selected for the Infinity Film Festival 2017. In 2016 he worked as Cinematographer for Alessandro Lonzi’s Clizia feature. Between 2017 and 2019 he worked with middle schools in Ravenna winning several national prizes and was lecturer at Academy of Fine Arts. In 2017/2018 I worked and co-writted Marco Martinelli's debut in film about Aung San Suu Kyi. For that movie I also was the camera operator and Director of Photography Assistant at side of Pasquale Mari (DoP) and Edoardo Sanchi (Set designer). In 2018-2019 he worked as cinematographer for Rigolò, Moder and Ronin videoclips, and was green screen technician and live video designer for “Mr. Ecoschiappa” produced by NoveTeatro. Since 2018 he is colorist for independent Jole Film shorts and documentaries such as “Il Sorriso del Gatto” by Mario Brenta and “Oltre il Fiume” by Luca Zambolin. In 2020 produced and post-produced the latest Mario Brenta documentary “Vanitas”, winner of the Jury Prize at Agorà du Cinéma et Philosophie 2020 in Fes and was technical manager for “Muti Italian Opera Academy” produced by Ballandi Arts. In 2021 he is co-producer of Japanese project “Toki”, with Harakiri Film, of “Isole” directed by Mario Brenta and will direct his new documentary produced by Samarcanda Film.
